DaysofPal – Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested 22 Palestinians during overnight raids across several areas of the occupied West Bank early Thursday, including a former mayor of Nablus, released prisoners, and children, according to local Palestinian sources.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces raided the Dheisheh refugee camp southeast of Bethlehem and detained Adam Mohammad Al-Balboul, Mohammad Ahmad Salama Al-Amir, Ali Youssef Arafah, and Mohammad Omar Dawood.
The forces also arrested Adam Issam Ahmad Al-Afandi and Ammar Taleb Nimr after raiding their homes in the city of Bethlehem.
In the northern West Bank, six Palestinians were arrested during raids in Nablus and the nearby town of Burqa.
Witnesses said Israeli troops detained intelligence officer Ali Zaidan, former prisoner Alaa Hassouneh, and former Nablus Mayor Hajj Adli Yaish after storming their homes in the city.
Three more Palestinians were arrested in Burqa, including Samer Yasser Daghlas and two children, Ahmad Raed Daghlas and Omar Aoun Abu Omar, following house raids across the town.
In Jenin, Israeli forces arrested five Palestinians after raiding several neighborhoods in the city. The detainees were identified as Ahmad Adnan Hindi, Sayel Turkman and his son Rayan, Zaidan Hawashin, and Ibrahim Al-Tubasi.
Israeli troops also raided student housing near the Arab American University in Jenin and arrested Ali Masarwa.
In the Tulkarm governorate, three Palestinians were detained in the town of Seida after Israeli forces searched their family homes. They were identified as Fouad Shafiq Abdel Ghani, released prisoner Rimah Bassem Raddad, and Rami Ahmad Odeh.
Another Palestinian, Kazem Munif Asrawi, was arrested after Israeli forces raided his home in the town of Allar, north of Tulkarm.
Israeli forces continue to carry out near-daily raids and arrest campaigns across cities and towns in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, involving house searches, temporary detentions, and arrests.
According to data published by the Palestinian Mu’ta Center, Israeli forces carried out 1,140 military raids across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem in June, alongside 1,303 home searches. The operations resulted in the arrest of 676 Palestinians and the temporary detention of 86 others.
The Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies documented nearly 3,000 arrests by Israeli forces during the first half of this year, including 109 women and 212 children.
