Days of Palestine – Ramallah
Israeli settlers attacked Tuesday a shepherd near the al-Khalal area in the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah.
Local sources said that a number of settlers, on their horses, protected by the occupation army, stormed the al-Khalal area in Kafr Malik, and attacked Fayez al-Tarbani while he was grazing sheep, and they chased his sheep outside the village.
They pointed out that the villagers went to the area to protect the lands from the settlers and expel them from it.
Settlers in the West Bank enjoy a climate of impunity, which has resulted in an escalation in both the level of violence and the frequency of attacks on Palestinians. In the past two years, the number of settler attacks against Palestinians has increased by over 144 percent.
The governorates of the West Bank, including the occupied city of Jerusalem, have witnessed an increase in the rate of incursions and attacks by settlers since the beginning of this year.
