DaysofPal- At least 88 Palestinians, mostly women and children, were killed in two massacres committed by the Israeli occupation army early Thursday morning in Beit Lahiya and the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza.
An Israeli airstrike on a residential area close to Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, killed 66 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 100 more.
The Jabalia camp in northern Gaza and the Beit Lahiya project have been the target of fierce gunfire from occupation forces’ vehicles and an Israeli air and artillery barrage for approximately an hour, according to media sources.
Following a month-long halt to humanitarian services in northern Gaza province due to the Israeli genocide campaign, local sources reported that neither medical teams nor civil defense units were present at the scene of the massacre.
Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, the director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, said most of the victims of the attack were asleep when they were killed.
“Several casualties have arrived, and there are still many bodies hanging on the walls and ceilings. It’s mostly children and women who arrived suddenly a little while ago,” he said in a voice message earlier this morning.
“Most of those who came were asleep when they were killed. The situation is honestly very dire. We cannot cope with this massive number of injured and casualties that have arrived at Kamal Adwan Hospital,” he said.
Another massacre in Gaza City was carried out by the occupation forces, who bombed the home of the ‘Arouqi’ family in the northern neighborhood of Sheikh Radwan, killing 22 people, including 10 children. Alongside artillery shelling and gunfire from the vehicles of the occupation forces, the occupation aircraft also conducted an airstrike on the southern region of Gaza City.
In the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, an Israeli army airstrike on a home close to Al-Awda Hospital killed three Palestinian women.
Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 43,985 Palestinians and wounded 104,092 since October 7, 2023, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry
