Days of Palestine – Jerusalem
At least 817 Jewish settlers defiled the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem last week.
According to the al-Qastal News website, the Israeli occupation police provided protection for the settlers during their provocative tours at the Aqsa Mosque and allowed them to perform Talmudic prayers in its eastern area near the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall.
While allowing settlers to defile the Islamic holy site, the police still persist in imposing restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers and banish several Jerusalemite citizens from entering their holy site every once in a while.
The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers and police forces in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.
Israel and its occupying forces have escalated their attacks against Palestinians in Jerusalem, and specifically against worshipers inside Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Israel’s oppression and fragmentation of the Palestinian people, systematic use of excessive force, collective punishment and arbitrary arrests policies, along with settler violence, which is carried out with institutionalized impunity, are a few characteristics of Israel’s settler-colonial and apartheid regime.
