Tens of thousands of Palestinian Muslim worshipers performed Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli restrictions and barriers on Friday, September 9.
Local sources reported that about 60,000 Palestinian Muslim worshipers managed to perform the Friday prayer at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Since the early hours of Friday, Palestinians from West Bank and the 1948-occupied lands have headed to perform at Al-Aqsa. Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces, deployed at the entrances of Jerusalem, impeded the arrival of hundreds of West Bank worshipers to Al-Aqsa.
Earlier Friday, Hundreds joined the Dawn prayer following calls for mobilization at Al-Aqsa within the Palestinian campaign “Great Dawn”.
On a daily basis, Israeli settlers carry out incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli occupation forces except on Fridays and Saturdays.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation authorities impose suffocating restrictions on Palestinians’ entry to Al-Aqsa, the third holiest site in Islam, routinely banishing Muslim worshipers from it.
