DaysofPal- Hospitals in northern Gaza, still devastated by previous Israeli raids, have been targeted once more, with six Palestinian children seriously injured in an Israeli attack on Kamal Adwan Hospital on Sunday evening.
Israeli forces bombed the hospital’s water tanks and nursery, according to Hussam Abu Safia, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital. Abu Safia added that shortly after a World Health Organization delegation visited the hospital, the hospital was heavily shelled by Israel.
Given the continuous shelling of medical facilities, Abu Safiya issued an urgent distress call to rescue the patients and injured who were stranded inside the hospital, highlighting the challenging tasks facing medical staff.
In a report last month, a U.N. investigation commission determined that “Israel has implemented a concerted policy to destroy the health-care system of Gaza.” It described Israeli actions at hospitals as “collective punishment against the Palestinians in Gaza.”
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 43,204 Palestinians and wounded 101,641 since October 7, 2023, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
