A whole year laden with loss, suffering, oppression, forced displacement, and widespread destruction has passed for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, as a result of the Israeli genocide.

Al-Aqsa Flood Operation
Dawn of October 7, 2024: The Palestinian resistance launched an unprecedented attack on the Israeli occupation’s military sites and illegal settlements in the Gaza Strip, calling it the “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation.
The attacks began early on 7 October with a barrage of at least 4,300 rockets launched against illegal Israeli settlements and vehicle-transported and powered paraglider incursions into Israel.
Palestinian resistance fighters breached the Gaza–Israel barrier, attacking military bases, and capturing hundreds of Israelis, including dozens of soldiers.
On the same day, Israeli occupation began its brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip, calling it “Iron Swords,” and launched hundreds of intense and violent raids.
On the first day of the aggression, more than 300 Palestinians were killed and more than two thousand were injured.

Declaration of War
October 8, 2023: The Israeli security cabinet approved the decision of Israel’s government Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to declare a state of war against Gaza under Article 40 of the Basic Law of Government.
Israeli occupation leaders also announced a series of racist statements about cutting off electricity, water, and food to the Gaza Strip, describing the residents of the besieged enclave as animals.

Illegal Evacuation Orders for Northern Gaza
October 13, 2023: Israeli occupation forces ordered the inhabitants of the Gaza and North Gaza governorates where more than 1.1 million Palestinians live to evacuate their homes and move towards the southern Gaza Valley.
Israeli violent bombardment forced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to be forcibly displaced from their homes. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands refused the order and insisted on remaining in their homes and were forced to move from one area to another according to the locations targeted by the Israeli military.

Power Outages in Gaza
October 11, 2023: Electricity was completely cut off in the Gaza Strip due to fuel shortages and the power plant shutting down after the Israeli occupation authorities cut off electricity supplies across the border fence on the first day of the aggression.

White Phosphorus and starvation
October 15, 2023: Amnesty International confirmed that the Israeli military used white phosphorus in Gaza, and the World Food Program confirmed that there is not enough food in the besieged Strip.

Gaza Baptist Hospital Massacre
October 17, 2023: Israeli warplanes committed a bloody massacre by bombing the Baptist Hospital in Gaza with American-made bombs, which killed about 471 Palestinians, most of them women and children.

Allow Humanitarian Assistance
October 21, 2023: The first humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip from the Rafah border crossing from Egypt. The aid amount was limited and did not meet the needs of the population of the Strip two weeks after the start of the war on the Gaza Strip.

Collapse of Health System
October 24, 2023: The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced the complete collapse of the health system in all hospitals in the Strip, as a result of power outages, fuel shortages, and the increasing number of killed and injured Palestinians.

Communications Cut Off with Ground Incursion
On October 27, 2023: Communications and the Internet were completely cut off from the Gaza Strip in conjunction with the Israeli military expansion of its ground operations, amidst heavy and unprecedented bombardment, the most violent since the beginning of the aggression.
Within several days, amid fierce resistance and under heavy fire cover, Israeli occupation forces reached Salah al-Din Road and then Rashid Street and began to separate the center of the Strip from Gaza City from the Netzarim axis.
Simultaneously with the incursion from this Netzarim axis, Israeli occupation forces penetrated northern Gaza and began to surround Gaza City from the northwest.

Scary Human Figures and Statistics
On November 7, 2023: The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced that 70% of the Strip’s population had been forcibly displaced from their homes due to the intensive Israeli bombing and raids.
It confirmed that the Gaza Strip was bombed with a thousand tons of explosives, at an average of 82 tons per square kilometer, and that about 2% of the total population of the Gaza Strip had become direct victims of this aggression, either killed or wounded.
The statement added that one wounded person is recorded every minute, one martyr every 4 minutes, a child martyr every 10 minutes, and a female martyr every 12 minutes.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated that the per capita share of explosives due to the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip exceeds 10 kilograms.

Storming Al-Shifa Medical Complex
November 15, 2023: After several days of siege, shelling, and direct targeting, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stormed the Al-Shifa Medical Complex and turned it into a military barracks.
Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the hospital on November 24, 10 days after storming it, destroying parts of it, and carrying out bombing operations in some of its departments and buildings.
They failed to prove their previous allegations of the existence of tunnels and barracks.
Before their withdrawal, IOF displaced thousands of displaced individuals and arrested dozens of them and medical staff, including the director of Al-Shifa Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya, and several medical teams.

Storming the Indonesian Hospital
November 24, 2023: Director General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Munir al-Barash, reported that the Israeli military stormed the Indonesian Hospital, adding that the storming was preceded by shelling and a siege by the Israeli forces that lasted for several days.
It is worth noting that many hospitals in Gaza City were subjected to siege and shelling during November.
After more than 70 days since the start of the aggression, most of the hospitals in the Strip were out of service due to the shelling and deliberate destruction by the Israeli occupation and the cessation of ambulance services.

Humanitarian Truce
November 24, 2023: A 4-day humanitarian truce was announced and extended for two additional days between the Israeli occupation and the resistance in the Gaza Strip, starting the following day, with Qatari and Egyptian mediation.
About 200 Palestinian prisoners were released in exchange for 50 Israeli civilian prisoners, and humanitarian aid convoys were allowed to enter the Strip.

Resumption of Aggression
December 1, 2023: Israeli occupation forces resumed their large-scale aggression on the Gaza Strip, after the end of the humanitarian truce and the failure of attempts to extend it.
Israeli military committed horrific massacres targeting residential areas in several areas in Gaza, using white phosphorus and lethal weapons.
The Health Ministry in Gaza announced that the death toll reached more than 15,000 Palestinians.

An incursion into Khan Yunis
December 2, 2023: Israeli occupation forces issued a final evacuation order in Khan Yunis, the second largest governorate in the Strip, and two days later began launching its first major ground attack there and in areas in the central Gaza Strip, in conjunction with intensive raids.
A new wave of displacement of hundreds of thousands began, with their presence concentrated in the Mawasi of Khan Yunis and Rafah, which the Israeli occupation declared a humanitarian zone.
Israeli occupation forces withdrew from Khan Yunis on April 7, 2024, after causing massive destruction to homes, buildings, and streets, affecting about 70% of the city and camp buildings.

Storming Kamal Adwan Hospital
On December 12, 2023: Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by tanks, stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, north of Gaza City, carrying out mass arrests and abuses among the medical staff.

120 Mass Graves
December 13, 2023: The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor documented more than 120 random mass graves in the governorates of the Gaza Strip to bury the killed Palestinians of the Israeli aggression.
According to the monitor, “people in the Strip have resorted to creating random mass graves in residential neighborhoods, courtyards of homes, roads, wedding halls, and sports fields, in light of the difficulty of accessing the main and regular cemeteries.”

Israel on Trial
December 29, 2023: South Africa formally filed a lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, supporting it with 84 pages of evidence condemning Israel for seeking to commit genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and demanding temporary protection for the Palestinians.
January 26, 2024: The International Court of Justice approved a series of procedures and temporary measures to prevent genocide in the Gaza Strip, demanding that Israel immediately implement them.
The court demanded that Israel submit a report within a month on all the temporary measures imposed, take immediate measures to improve the humanitarian situation and prevent destruction in the Strip.

Risk of Starvation
“People in Gaza are starving to death just miles from food trucks. Every lost hour puts countless lives at risk. We can only avert famine if we can provide adequate supplies and have safe access to reach those in need, wherever they are,” said the Executive Director of the World Food Programme.
The latest Integrated Food Security Phase Classification report found devastating levels of food insecurity in Gaza, confirming that all of Gaza’s population – some 2.2 million people – are experiencing crisis or worse levels of acute food insecurity.
- A Large-Scale Operation in Rafah
On February 12, 2024: The Israeli occupation announced the release of two Israeli captives held by the Palestinian resistance in Rafah in a nighttime military operation, which coincided with a violent bombardment of the city that resulted in the killing of at least 63 Palestinians, including a child, and the injury of dozens of others.

Storming Nasser Hospital
On February 13, 2024: The Israeli occupation troops surrounded Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, demolished its wall, bombed its surroundings, ordered the displaced people inside to evacuate it, and turned it into a military barracks after storming it on February 15.
On February 25, 2024: the Israeli occupation announced the end of the military operation in Nasser Hospital, more than 10 days after storming it and turning it into a military barracks.

Flour Massacre
February 29, 2024: More than 112 Palestinians were killed and nearly 800 others were injured in a new massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces called the “Flour Massacre”.
The massacre occurred when the Israeli warplanes targeted a large group of Palestinians at night while they were gathering to receive aid at the Nabulsi roundabout.

Re-invasion Al-Shifa Complex
March 18, 2024: For the second time since October, Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Shifa Medical Complex west of Gaza City. The shelling and raid killed and wounded dozens inside the complex and a fire broke out in the specialized surgeries building.
Israeli occupation withdrew from the hospital at dawn on April 1, two weeks after storming and besieging it, leaving hundreds of martyrs and widespread destruction after burning the hospital’s departments and destroying all medical equipment and supplies, causing it to go out of service.

UN Resolution for Ceasefire
March 25, 2024: The UN Security Council adopted for the first time a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The United States refrained from using its veto this time, while Netanyahu canceled an Israeli delegation’s visit to Washington in protest at the latter’s abstention from voting.

American Student Uprising
April 17, 2024: A student movement began at Columbia University to demand an end to the Israeli war on Gaza, an end to the cooperation of their university administration with Israeli universities, the withdrawal of their investments from companies that support the Israeli occupation, and allowing them freedom of expression.
This movement extended to dozens of American and European universities to demand an end to the Israeli genocide as the bloody face of the occupation was exposed.

Rafah Evacuation
May 6, 2024: Israeli occupation ordered residents to evacuate the eastern outskirts of Rafah in preparation for a military operation there, and published on its social media accounts maps showing new displacement routes for Palestinians, most of whom had already fled from the northern and central areas to Rafah in search of a safe haven amid an unprecedented war.

Rafah Invasion
May 7, 2024: Israeli occupation forces invaded Rafah Governorate under the pretext of carrying out a limited operation, occupied the Rafah crossing, destroyed parts of it, and continued to expand and penetrate the governorate amidst violent shelling, widespread destruction, and fierce resistance until today.
May 9, 2024: The Israeli occupation forces again penetrated the Zeitoun neighborhood south of Gaza City, and carried out destruction operations amidst fierce clashes.
May 11, 2024: The Israeli occupation forces penetrated for the second time into the Jabalia camp north of Gaza, carried out destruction operations amidst fierce clashes, and withdrew on the 30th of the same month.

Aggression on Nuseirat
On June 8, 2024: Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale aggression on the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, which killed 244 Palestinians and injured about 400 others, including children and women.
The occupation aircraft launched intensive raids in an area crowded with residents and displaced individuals to cover up a storming operation by a special Israeli force that released four of its captives.

A large-scale Military Operation in the Occupied West Bank
August 28, 2024: Israeli occupation troops began a large-scale military operation in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas in the northern occupied West Bank in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The official Israeli radio said that the operation is the largest since Operation “Defensive Shield” in 2002 and that it is being carried out with the participation of the Air Force and special forces.
This operation came within the framework of attempts to eliminate the resistance that escalated within the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa since the first days of its launch.
Palestinian resistance factions intensified their effort and carried out hundreds of operations against the Israeli occupation and its settlers.
The Israeli occupation attacks killed more than 700 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

Lebanon pager and walkie-talkie Explosions
September 17, 2024: More than 14 Hezbollah members were killed and thousands injured when pagers they were carrying exploded.
Explosions were recorded in southern Lebanon and in the Beirut suburbs, which are considered a Hezbollah stronghold.
The next day, a second wave of explosions occurred, in wireless devices, which led to the death and injury of hundreds.
In the two days, the death toll reached more than 32 people and about 4,000 injured.

Lebanon Under Israeli Fire
September 23, 2024: The Israeli occupation launched hundreds of raids on southern Lebanon and demanded the displacement of tens of thousands of residents in a new escalation of the level of aggression against Lebanon.
In return, Hezbollah responded by expanding the circle of fire against the Israeli occupation’s sites and military bases.
