The Palestinian Civil Defense has called for the inclusion of Arab rescue teams to assist in their operations to rescue and extract Palestinian people trapped under the rubble of buildings destroyed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza.
The spokesperson for the Gaza Civil Defense stated on Sunday morning, “We must bring in Arab rescue teams to assist in our operations.”
He continued, “We were shocked by the scale of the destruction and the number of bodies after communication was restored,” indicating that a significant number of martyrs remain under the rubble, making it challenging to reach them.
He also mentioned that citizens have reported hearing the voices of those trapped under the rubble up to this point.
The Civil Defense teams are dealing with approximately 20 targets every minute. They use primitive and basic tools to remove debris and rubble, as the necessary machinery and equipment for rescue operations are unavailable.
The Israeli occupation has, for 17 years, prohibited the supply of machinery, vehicles, and equipment to the Civil Defense and ambulance teams in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health announced yesterday that it had received 1,800 reports of missing individuals under the rubble, including 1,000 children.
