The Islamic Endowment Department in Jerusalem reported in a brief statement that about 50,000 Palestinian Muslim worshipers performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Local sources reported Israeli occupation forces erected a number of barriers at the gates of Al-Aqsa, searching the worshipers. Meanwhile, dozens of worshipers were banned from accessing the Mosque.
Earlier today, thousands of Palestinian worshipers performed the Al-Fajr (dawn) prayer at Al-Aqsa. In addition, a number of worshipers had their breakfast at the courtyards of Al-Aqsa.
On Fridays, Palestinian worshipers from Jerusalem, the lands occupied in 1948 and the West Bank head to perform the Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa under heavy presence of Israeli occupation troops.
