DaysofPal-The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated on Thursday that 5 more Palestinians died due to hunger in the Gaza Strip, amid a continuous deterioration of humanitarian conditions caused by the ongoing Israeli siege and military genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry said that these deaths were directly linked to severe shortages of food, medicine, and medical supplies, as the Israeli blockade continues to prevent the entry of essential aid, leading to a worsening famine and malnutrition crisis, especially among vulnerable groups such as women, children, and the sick.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue to block the entry of more than 22,000 humanitarian aid trucks at Gaza crossings, according to a statement from the Gaza Government Media Office, reflecting a deliberate policy of “engineering starvation, siege, and chaos” against more than 2.4 million Palestinians in the enclave.
Aid distribution areas witness tragic scenes, with trucks and supplies being looted amid ongoing security chaos.
Civilians gathering to receive food aid are frequently exposed to Israeli gunfire, resulting in hundreds of casualties, including children, women, and widows, exacerbating the suffering of the population like never before.
Reports indicate that the aid entering Gaza covers only a tiny fraction of the daily needs, as the Gaza Strip requires approximately 600 aid trucks daily to meet the basic needs of hospitals, health services, and food supplies amid the ongoing collapse of infrastructure due to military operations.
Humanitarian organizations and the international community are calling on the Israeli occupation to lift the siege and permanently and safely open crossings, ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of food and medical aid without obstacles or delays.
They warn that the continuation of the blockade and starvation policy constitutes a war crime, leading to more deaths and suffering among civilians in Gaza.
International organizations have warned of “the worst famine scenario currently unfolding” in Gaza, with rising numbers of victims dying of hunger amid near-complete aid insufficiency. Reports confirm that around 196 people have died of hunger since the start of the aggression, including 93 children.
These conditions persist amid ongoing Israeli bombardment and siege, leaving Gaza’s future uncertain amid escalating humanitarian crises threatening the lives of millions of residents without respite.
