The Palestinian Islamic movement strongly condemned on Saturday, August 26, 2023, the Israeli calls for planned incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
Musa Abu Marzouq, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, has strongly condemned the Temple Mount movement’s recent appeals to breach the Al-Aqsa mosque compound during the upcoming Jewish holidays this month.
In an official press release, the Hamas figure articulated that the Israeli occupation persistently demolishes the homes of Palestinian residents in Jerusalem and enforces restrictions on raising Palestinian flags in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
Abu Marzouq issued a warning about the continuous Israeli colonization strategies designed to undermine the determination of Palestinian Jerusalemites.
He also highlighted that these efforts attempt to obscure the Palestinian issue by supporting educational and cultural initiatives aimed at reshaping the Arab and Palestinian identity of the holy city.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque experiences daily violations and incursions by settlers. These actions seek to divide its temporal and spatial usage.
In July 2023 alone, about 6,558 colonial Israeli settlers raided the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, engaging in provocative Talmudic rituals.
