Four Palestinian prisoners from the towns of Arraba, Yamoun, and the village of Bir al-Basha in the Jenin Governorate have entered on Monday, June 26, 2023, new years in Israeli prisons.
According to Montaser Sammour, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club in Jenin, Shadi Mohammad Hussein Ghawadreh from Bir al-Basha has entered his 21st year of imprisonment, serving a life sentence.
Abd al-Jabbar Sabri Khalil Shamali from Arraba, one of the senior prisoners, has entered his 23rd year, serving a 27-year sentence.
Ibrahim Naaman Abd al-Hafiz Houshiyeh has entered his 21st year and is sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Murad Adnan Youssef Houshiyeh, also from the town of Yamoun, has entered his 21st year and is serving a 25-year sentence.
These prisoners have spent significant portions of their lives behind bars, enduring the hardships and challenges of imprisonment under Israeli occupation.
