Four Palestinian detainees entered new years of detention behind the bars of Israeli occupation prisons, the Palestinian Prisoners Society reported on Sunday, November 27.
According to PPS, the Palestinian prisoner Mohammed Al-Masri, 42, from occupied Al-Tirah, entered today his 7th year in a row in Israeli prisons.
Prisoner Al-Masri was detained on November 27, 2016, and he was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison, the PPS added.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian prisoner Ameen Shuqairat, 46, from occupied Jerusalem, entered on Sunday, November 27, his 19th consecutive year in Israeli prisons, according to PPS’s statement.
The PPS pointed out that prisoner Shuqairat has been serving a sentence of 20 and a half years in Israeli prisons since he was arrested in November 2004.
Moreover, the Palestinian Society stated that Mohammed Isaeid, serving a life imprisonment sentence, entered his 22nd year in Israeli prisons. 44-year-old Isaeid was arrested in 2001.
Furthermore, the Prisoners information office said that prisoner Mohammed Amro, 42, from Jenin, entered the 21st consecutive year in Israeli prisons since he was arrested in November 2002.
About 4760 Palestinian prisoners are held in Israeli prisons, including 33 women and 260 minors, according to Palestinian data published at the end of October 2022.
