Israeli occupation forces attacked a peaceful protest in the Malaka area, east of Gaza City, on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, wounding many Palestinian citizens.
Local Palestinian sources reported that six Palestinian young men, including a photojournalist, have been moderately injured and many dozens sustained inhalation injuries at the Malka area near the separation fence after Israeli occupation forces fired live bullets and gas bombs at people demonstrating there.
Palestinians take part in the peaceful protests at the Gaza fence commemorating the 18th anniversary of the Israeli withdrawal from the Strip and in support and solidarity with Palestinian prisoners who have been incarcerated and undergone severe conditions in Israeli jails.

Last night, Palestinian youths resumed night confusion activities near the separation fence in the east in rejection of the 17-year-old blockade imposed on Gaza by the Israeli occupation.
Euro-Med Monitor showed in its 2023 report that the Israeli blockade has impoverished more than 61% of Gaza’s total population of about two million and 380 thousand people. Moreover, it has disrupted the work of approximately 47% of workers and left nearly 53% of the population facing food insecurity.
