Two Palestinian prisoners, Islam Saleh Jarar from Jenin city and Jamal Abdul Salam Abu Alheja from its refugee camp, entered on Saturday, August 26, 2023, their 22nd year in Israeli occupation prisons.
According to the Director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club in Jenin, Montaser Samour, Abu Alheja and Jarar were arrested on August 26, 2002, following a raid on the camp. They were sentenced on April 11, 2005, to life imprisonment.
The Israeli occupation is currently holding 5100 Palestinian prisoners including 1200 administrative detainees, 165 children, and 33 female prisoners.
