Hamas’s Al Qassam Brigades published Wednesday evening a video of an American-Israeli soldier who is held captive in Gaza, calling on Israeli PM Netanyahu to step down in case he is unable to return the hostages back home.
The 24-year-old soldier, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, appeared with an amputated hand, which he said he sustained serious injuries on October 7th, and that day he tried to protect himself because there was no military to protect them, laying blame on Netanyahu and his associates.
He accused Netanyahu and the Israeli government of rejecting all deals to release him, holding Netanyahu responsible for the killing of other Israeli prisoners.
He continued to say that Benjamin Netanyahu and his government should be ashamed of themselves because they neglected their issue.
“You should be ashamed of yourselves for leaving us for 200 days and all the efforts of the army have failed. Because the Air Force bombings 70 detainees like me were killed. Also, you should be ashamed because all the deals that were offered to you were rejected. Don’t you want to end this nightmare?” he asked.
He concluded by throwing more accusations on Netanyahu for enjoying the Jewish holidays, while other Israeli hostages in Gaza are “without water, food, or sun without the treatment” needed for their injuries.
