Sit-in staged in Germany in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners

Days of Palestine - Cologne

The Palestinian Coalition in western Germany organized a sit-in in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails in the German city of Cologne on Sunday morning.

A number of citizens from the Palestinian communities in Cologne and the cities of Dusseldorf, Wuppertal and Bonn as well as German and foreign activists participated in the sit-in.

The participants carried Palestinian flags and placards condemning Israel’s violations against the Palestinian prisoners and calling for international action to have them released, especially women, elderlies and those with chronic health problems.

Some of them also delivered speeches in German and Arabic, which focused on the need to expose Israel’s criminal practices against the Palestinians in its jails and launch campaigns across Europe to highlight their suffering.
