Palestine records 938 new Covid-19 cases, 15 deaths

Palestine today recorded 938 new novel coronavirus cases, 15 deaths and 779 patients have recovered, according to Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh.

She said in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine that nine people have died in the West Bank, where 425 new cases were recorded, and 248 patients have recovered, three people died in the Gaza Strip, where 175 new cases were recorded, and 340 recoveries and three people have died in East Jerusalem, recorded over two days, where 338 people have contracted the disease in these two days and 191 have recovered.

Alkaila said 62 corona patients are getting treatment in intensive care units, among them 22 are on respirators.

Recoveries account for 93.4 percent of total cases since the pandemic outbreak in March, active cases for 5.5 percent, and the death toll accounts for 1.1 percent.
