Palestine records 524 Covid-19 cases, 8 deaths

Palestine today recorded 524 new Covid-19 cases and 8 deaths, according to Health Minister Mai Al-Kaileh.

In her daily report on the COVID-19 pandemic, she said five people died in the West Bank and three in the Gaza Strip.

She added that new cases were recorded in the governorates as follows: Tulkarm (33), Salfit (15), Tubas (12), Qalqilya (13), the suburbs of Jerusalem (20), Bethlehem (22), Nablus (44), Hebron ( 41), Jenin (23), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (64), Gaza Strip (237).

Al-Kailah said that the new recovery cases were divided according to the following: Tulkarm (66), Salfit (14), Tubas (6), Qalqilya (16), the suburbs of Jerusalem (27), Bethlehem (30), Nablus (221), Hebron (32). ), Jenin (48), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (87), Jericho and Al-Aghwar (7), Gaza Strip (390).

Alkaila pointed out that 81 COVID-19 patients are currently under intensive care, of whom 22 are on ventilators.

The Health Minister noted that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 92.0 percent since the pandemic outbreak in March, active cases for 9.7 percent and the death toll accounts for 6.9 percent.
