Hundreds of Palestinians participated in a peaceful protest , which went out from the center of the village towards the lands that had been seized in the Jabal Al-Shorfa area, denouncing the occupation's intention to establish a new settlement outpost on large areas of the village's lands.

This region is considered to be targeted by Israeli settlers for years, as they herd their sheep on the village's crops, which causes great losses to the Palestinian farmers.
