Coronavirus in Palestine claims 14 new victims, 1088 new cases, and 1585 recoveries in 24 hours

Coronavirus in Palestine today claimed the lives of 14 people while 1088 people have contracted the disease, and 1585 patients have recovered from it in the last 24 hours, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.

She said in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine that nine people have died in the West Bank, "Tulkarm (2), Nablus (2), Hebron (1), Jenin (3), Salfit (1)" , and five in the Gaza Strip.

She said that the new cases were recorded as follows: “Tubas (44), Tulkarm (63), Qalqilya (22), Ramallah (111), Nablus (64), Hebron (62), Jerusalem suburbs  (23), Jenin ( 40), Bethlehem (30), Jericho (6), Salfit (13), Gaza Strip (610).

She said that 1,585 Covid-19 patients recovered; 780 recovery cases in the West Bank and 805 others in the Gaza Strip.

Alkaila added that the recovery rate across Palestine has so far reached 87.9 percent, while active cases reached 11.1 percent. Deaths stood at just one percent of the total cases.

The Health Minister pointed out that that there are 115 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units, including 27 who are connected to ventilators.
