Israeli settlers attack Hebron-area village under Israeli army protection

Dozens of Israeli settlers under Israeli army protection Saturday stormed and attacked the village of al-Tawana, in Masafer yatta area to the south of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.

Fouad al-Amor, an activist in the protection committees south of Hebron, said that a group of Israeli settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Ma’on stormed the village of al-Tawani and tried to attack the home of Hatim Makhamra and the security activists.

The village locals managed to fend off the attack and forced settlers out of the village. One injured was reported.
