Israeli forces clash with Palestinians near Qalandiya camp

Several Palestinian citizens on Tuesday afternoon suffered from different injuries during violent clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in Qalandiya refugee camp, northeast of Jerusalem.

The clashes broke out after a large number of Israeli soldiers stormed Qalandiya camp and occupied the rooftops of some buildings.

According to local sources, the Israeli occupation forces intensively fired tear gas grenades and rubber bullets at local youths during the events.

Two young men reportedly suffered rubber bullet injuries, one of them in his eye, and was rushed to local hospital for medical assistance.

Many others, including children and elderlies also suffered from their exposure to tear gas fumes.

Local youths, for their part, responded by hurling stones at the soldiers, injuring three of them.
