Palestinian prisoner Habib Fawaz Khamees Abu Abed, from Ya’bad town in southern Jenin, entered Saturday, July 8, 2023, his 20th consecutive year in Israeli prisons.
According to Mansour Samour, the director of the Prisoners’ Club in Jenin, Israeli occupation forces arrested Abu Abed in 2004 after years of pursuit.
He was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment.
Samour further explained that following Abu Abed’s arrest, the Israeli occupation forces demolished his family’s home.
Moreover, his father and mother passed away while he was in prison, and the Israeli occupation denied him the chance to bid them a final farewell.
