The Palestinian Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs condemned Monday, June 26, 2023, the occupation forces’ raiding of many homes of Jerusalemite prisoners and ex-prisoners and confiscating a large number of their property.
The Commission said that this barbaric behavior reflects the confusion of the Israeli occupation in front of the high will and steadfastness of the Palestinian detainees, which is a miserable attempt to break the will of their families and loved ones.
It indicated that the Israeli occupation forces deliberately destroyed the contents of those houses and demanded the owners hand them over sums of money that they claimed the detainees’ families had received from “terrorist” organizations.
Among the targeted homes are the homes of the female detainee Shurouk Dwayyat and the ex-detainees Ahmed Al-Shawish and Rami Al-Fakhouri.
At dawn today, Israeli occupation forces reportedly raided the homes of several Jerusalemite detainees and ex-detainees.
