Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed today a new coronavirus fatality, raising the death toll in Palestine to 50.
It announced that an 89-year-old man died from the virus in Hebron district, the current Palestinian epicenter of the pandemic.
The ministry confirmed earlier today two deaths from the virus and 463 new cases in the last 24 hours in Palestine.
The confirmed cases in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip have reached 8,616. Out of the total cases 7,340 are recorded in the West Bank, 72 in the Gaza Strip and 1, 204 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries have reached 1,487, including 174 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 7,079 as active cases.
