The Israeli occupation army on Thursday notified several Palestinian families in the Jiftlik village in the central Jordan Valley of its intent to demolish their homes and displace them within a few days.
Local activist Aref Daraghmeh said that the Israeli occupation forces arrested one of the residents in Khilat al-Fula area in Jiftlik, where the demolitions will take place.
Daraghmeh added that the Israeli army claimed the measure was aimed at stopping the destruction of antiquities in the area.
