Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –New EU Foreign Police chief Federica Mogherini said on Saturday in Gaza that Palestine State is the “ultimate gaol” of all the EU member states.
“We need a Palestinian State. That is the ultimate goal and this is the position of all the European Union,” Mogherini said during her visit to the Gaza Strip, which was devastated by three massive Israeli wars in six years.
She voiced hope that Gaza would avoid another major Israel assault. “It is not only the people of Gaza that cannot afford having a fourth war, all the world cannot afford this,” she said.

“We cannot just sit and wait. If we sit and wait it will go on for another 40 years. We have to have action now,” said Mogherini, who has recently took over her position and pledged to see a Palestinian State during her term in office.
Israeli security
Mogherini slammed Israeli frenzy regarding the expansion of illegal settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories.
But it seems that she found a justification for the Israeli occupation regarding this issue.
“Israeli security and safety will never be guaranteed unless there is a regional framework that fully allows that,” she said.

“The EU is and will remain ready to work in this direction with all partners of the region.”
Regarding Gaza, she called for accelerating the reconstruction, but no tangible results were taken or at least decided.
