The Israeli occupation issued Monday, May 8, 2023, new tenders to build about 1,248 illegal Israeli settlement units in occupied Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Hebron, and other areas in the northern West Bank.
Israeli media reported that the new Israeli settlement units will be built in the settlements of “Beitar Illit”, “Efrat”, “Kiryat Arba”, “Ma’ale Ephraim” and “Karni Shomron”, in addition to 89 units in the “Gilo” settlement, west of occupied Jerusalem.
The Israeli occupation building of a new Israeli settlement outpost aims at besieging Palestinians and turning them into isolated cities and villages. It also aims to restrict Palestinian expansion in the future.
Since its establishment on December 2022, the far-right Israeli government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu has been working hard on the illegal settlement schemes on the occupied Palestinian lands.
