Israeli occupation forces (IOF) today released the Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, on a bail of 10,000 NIS ($3,300) after detaining him for 24 hours and blocking him from traveling via Jordan.
Israeli occupation yesterday detained Ghaith and his aide, Marouf al-Rifai, at the Karama crossing for several hours and informed them that they were not allowed to travel.
Ghaith and Al-Rifai were on their way to Saudi Arabia to participate in the Arab Cities Conference to represent the State of Palestine, which is scheduled to be held on the 22 and 23 of this month.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation is still imposing restrictions on Ghaith, including a ban from entering the West Bank and contacting Palestinian 51 officials.
