Confrontations broke out Sunday, February 19, 2023 between Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) and young Palestinian men in separate areas of occupied West-Bank city of Jerusalem.
Local sources reported that confrontations broke out in the Shuafat camp and the towns and regions of east Jerusalem following with the declaration of civil disobedience in those areas, in protest against the occupation’s policy of abusing the Jerusalemites and Palestinians in general.
The implementation of the civil disobedience decision began in the neighborhoods and towns of occupied Jerusalem starting from Sunday’s dawn in rejection of the unending crimes of the Israeli occupation.
This step came as a rejection of the new Israeli government’s barbaric measures, which aim to displace the indigenous population and empty the city of Jerusalemites from its Palestinian citizens.
Meanwhile, IOF kidnapped the young Palestinian man, Adham Youssef Ghaith, from Jabal Al-Mukaber in occupied Jerusalem, and the Palestinian child, Younis Al-Rishq, from the town of Al-Tur, after storming his family’s home. IOF also raided the house of the Palestinian prisoner, Abbas al-Salhi, and seized an amount of money worth 650 shekels, in addition to silver jewelry.
